RAWR! Diego Sanchez changes his nickname (again) ahead of UFC Nashville

I was just getting used to “The Dream” when longtime Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight Diego Sanchez reverted back to “The Nightmare,” the nickname he brought with him after graduating — and winning — the original Ultimate Fighter (TUF).

I guess it’s time for a change ... again.

“I’m really, really embracing this ‘Lionheart’ thing,” Sanchez said. “I know some of my fans out there are going to be disappointed, but what this is about is a movement, about bringing the lion heart out of millions. It’s inside every one of you guys. The lion heart is inside, you gotta let it out. You gotta let it out, and that’s what this is about.”

Combate Americas featherweight Izic Fernandez is going to be PISSED.

Sanchez (27-9) will look to win his second straight when he tangles with the returning Al Iaquinta on the main card of the upcoming UFC Fight Night 108 mixed martial arts (MMA) event on FOX Sports 1, set for Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, on Sat., April 22, 2017.
