Video: Dana White says Anderson Silva is the Tom Brady of MMA, admits ‘man crush’ for Patriots quarterback

As Super Bowl 51 gears up to kick off later today (Sun., Feb 5. 2017) from inside NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, which will see the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons duke it out on the gridiron, the football/mixed martial arts (MMA) references are in high gear.

So when asked by TMZ who he thought the Tom Brady of MMA was, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White had plenty to choose from, but ultimately settled on former Middleweight champion, Anderson Silva.

"The Tom Brady of UFC? If you break into the top five, or become a world champion, it’s very tough to do so you’re a stud. If I had to pick one guy, it would have to be Anderson Silva," he said. "If you look at what Anderson Silva's accomplished and how long he's been in the game and how he's carried himself ... I'd go with Anderson."

When asked if Silva was as handsome as the Patriots quarterback, White -- who is very close friends with Brady and business partners -- wasn’t quick to commit, but didn’t hide his "man crush" for Tom.

"Very few people are, Hey, Tom Brady is my man crush, I love Brady," he added.

Sorry, Dana, but Tom is spoken for by his supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen. Just another one of the reasons so many love to hate perhaps the greatest quarterback of all time.

Indeed, Silva and Brady have a rich history of being at the top in their respective sports, so going with "The Spider" -- who returns at UFC 208 on Feb. 11, 2017 against Derek Brunson — is a good selection.

Unless, of course, you have a better one?
