Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to the hurt business this Sunday night (Feb. 19, 2017) for UFC Fight Night 105: "Lewis vs. Browne," which takes place inside Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, live on FOX Sports 1.
The promotion's latest mixed martial arts (MMA) card will feature a heavyweight showdown pitting division stalwart Derrick Lewis against hot-and-cold Travis Browne. Elsewhere on the card, former UFC 170-pound champion Johny Hendricks jumps up to middleweight to challenge power puncher Hector Lombard.

Round 1: Lewis comes out aggressively. Good leg kick from Browne in the early going. Front kick attempt. My power goes out for a second due to a thunderstorm so I miss about fifteen seconds. One minute in. Front kick to the body hurts Lewis. Browne staying patient. Leg kick from Browne and another body kick. Two minutes in. Leg kick from Browne. Lewis tries an ugly wheel kick. Then a jumping switch kick. Low kick from Browne but Lewis counters with an overhand right that drops him. Browns scrambles to his feet and crushes Lewis with another body kick. Lewis manages to tie up and separate. Two minutes to go.
Leg kick lands for Browne. Front kicks to the body. One minute to go. Another hard leg kick by Browne, answered in kind. Leg kick from Browne and Lewis tries another wheel kick. Right hand lands for Lewis before the bell. 10-9 Browne.
Round 2: Browne opens the round targeting the legs and body. Good body kick. Browne tries a head kick, only to get cracked by some Lewis bombs. Uppercuts split Browne’s guard and he ties up. Lewis still throwing head. Browne grabs double underhooks, but flubs a takedown and winds up beneath Lewis in half guard. Browne nearly makes it up, only to get hurled back to the mat. Two minutes in. Brutal right hands from Lewis. Browne works his way back to his feet and manages to separate. Two minutes to go.
Both men swing at the same time and Lewis catches Browne right on temple with a right hand. Browne collapses in a heap and Lewis slams home right hands until Browne goes to sleep.

185 lbs.: Johnny Hendricks vs. Hector Lombard
Round 1: Low kick from Hendricks in the early going. Body shot from Lobard me by an inside leg kick. Good knee by Hendricks. One minute in. Straight left lands for Lombard. Body kick blocked. Another left by Lombard, who catches a leg kick and ties up on the fence. Two minutes in. Lombard goes for a trip, lands a hard right hook on the exit. Lombard ties up off a Hendricks low kick, eats a knee to the body. Hendricks fakes a takedown. Two minutes to go.

Round 2: Early head kick from Tucker. Low kick connects. Sicilia struggling to land anything at the moment. One minute in. 1-1-2 by Tucker. Another leg kick lands. Straight left. Two minutes in. Body shot connects. Leg kick. Sicilia hasn’t landed a thing this round. Tucker showboating a bit, lands another leg kick. Two minutes to go.

Round 3: Sicilia looks a bit more desperate now, chugging forward and swinging punches. Tucker continues running circles around him. Nice uppercut. One minute in. Nice lead right from Sicilia and he ties up against the fence. They separate. Right hook from Tucker. Short rights from Sicilia and he ties up again. Lovely takedown from Tucker. Two minutes in. Tucker takes side control and steps into half guard for a kneebar attempt, which allows Sicilia to stand. Both men lobbing punches. Sharp straight left by Tucker. Two minutes to go.

Round 1: Theodorou opens with kicks, walks into a straight left. Another left. Theodorou very aggressive early, walks into another straight left. Ncie cut kick by Ferreira. One minute in. Theodorou coming up short with his punches. Body kick lands for him. Two minutes in. Leg kick exchange. Counter punches connect for Ferreira. Theodorou catches a body kick and takes him to the fence. Two minutes to go.
Ferreira circles off. Body kick once again lands for him. They exchange body kicks. One minute to go. Theodorou running in with some funky punches and Ferreira’s waiting for him with a straight left each time. Nice counter 2-3 from Ferreira. 10-9 Ferreira.
Round 2: Ferreira changes levels, can’t get it. Theodorou jumps in with a knee and Ferreira immediately takes him down for it. He transitions to the back and plas backpack as Theodorou hauls him to the fence. One minute in. Theodorou spins into his guard and they stand. Ferreira sweeps him back to the ground, staying heavy when Theodorou works his way back to his feet. They separate and Theodorou lands a hard left hook on the exit. Two minutes in. He trips Ferreira up with a kick and looks for a takedown, dumping him down on the fence and avoiding a guillotine on the way. Ferreira scrambles up and pulls guard on a guillotine when Theodorou shoots again. He squeezes hard, but Theodorou works his way free and starts throwing short ground-and-pound. Two minutes to go.
Ferreira makes it back to his feet and they separate. One minute to go. Leg kick from Ferreira, who avoids counters. Another leg kick before the bell. 10-9 Ferreira.
Round 3: Theodorou throwing leg kicks early on. Low kick from Ferreira met by a right hand. One minute in. Straight left lands for him. Ferreira shoots off a Theodorou leg kick, stuffed. Two minutes in. Theodorou ducks down, puts Ferreira on the fence. Two minutes to go.
Glancing left by Theodorou. He lands a body kick and Ferreira takes him down for it, transitioning to the back. Both hooks in for the Brazilian. Looking for the choke with another minute to work. Round 1: McMann comes out punching and takes Mazany into the clinch, dragging her quickly to the mat. Mazany gets to her knees, then to her feet with McMann attached to her waist. McMann slings her back down directly into mount and immediately locks up the arm triangle for the finish.
Final result: McMann def. Mazany by submission (arm triangle choke)
155 lbs.: Paul Felder vs. Alessandro Ricci
Round 1: Early left hook from Felder. Body kick lands for Ricci. Counter right as Felder lands a leg kick. Nice exchanges thus far. Good left by Ricci inside. One minute in. Check hooks by Felder have already reddened Ricci’s cheek. Counter uppercut by Felder. Straight right knocks Ricci back. Good knee to the body by Ricci. Right hand exchange. Esparza shoots for a single-leg and Markos drops for the back crucifix. Esparza continues to scramble and takes side control. Markos looking for some sort of reverse triangle. One minute to go. Back to the rear crucifix and she lands some nice hammerfists until Esparza slips out and pounds away. 10-9 Markos.
Round 2: Esparza moving forward. 1-2 by Esparza. Esparza reaching her with combinations, though not terrible hard. Left hook connects. One minute in. Good exchange. Esparza connects inside. Markos still sticking her fingers straight out. Nice right hand by Esparza. Two minutes in. Esparza’s just outlanding her. Nice straight right. They trade. Round 2: Zahabi checks a leg kick, takes a glancing right hand. Zahabi answers with a combination. Solid punches by Vieira as they trade. Zahabi stuffs a shot. One minute in. Counters from Zahabi. He’s checking low kicks, but not throwing that much at the moment. Vieira right hand. Two minutes in and he shoots for a single-leg. Zahabi denies it against the cage. Vieira with a good knee to the body on the exit and Vieira goes to work with punches. Two minutes to go.
Vieira threatens a guillotine when Vieira shoots in once again. Good scramble. One minute to go. Zahabi with a combination on the fence. Left hook by Vieira. Body shot. Zahabi lands a combination and scores a hard knockdown in the waning seconds. Vieira spins for a leg to get out of the line of fire. 10-9 Zahabi.
Round 3: Low kick and body shot from Vieira met by counters. One minute in. Zahabi looking sharper, still not super active. Vieira low kick met by a glancing right hand. Zahabi stuffs a shot. Round 1: Early boxing, low kick from Santos. Nice exchange sees Santos lands a pair of left hooks. Santos shoots and takes Marshman down into guard despite a fence grab. One minute in. Solid ground-and-pound. Santos stands over him, then dies back in. Marshman briefly threatens an armbar. Two minutes in. Marshman makes space and stands. Santos swings and shoots in, stuffed. Two minutes to go.
Body kick lands for Santos, who tries to spin. Another thudding body kick beneath Marshman’s elbow. One minute to go. Santos tries another body kick and Marshman decks him with an overhand right. Santos shoots in to slow things down and they trade heat. 10-9 Marshman.
Round 2: Santos opens with a head kick attempt. Marshman looking more confident. Marshman to the body. One minute in. Another right hand by the Welshman. Santos thumps him with a body kick. Marshman backs him to the fence and lands a good right hand. Two minutes in. Santos spends a decent chunk of time backpedaling, then clobbers Marshman with a wheel kick out of nowhere. Marshman goes down and one of the follow-up punches briefly turns his lights out. Another highlight reel knockout by Thiago Santos.

185 lbs.: Ryan Janes vs. Gerald Meerschaert
Round 1: Meerschaert lands a thudding left early, but Janes powers back with volume punching and ties up on the fence. Inside trip by Janes and he’s on top in guard. Meerschaert looking to set up a triangle, Janes passes to half guard. Meerschaert regains guard a minute in and looks for a sweep. Meerschaert spins for an armbar and draws an immediate tap.
Final result: Meerschaert def. Janes by submission (armbar)
