Former “Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series” standout Alex Perez made good on his Octagon debut earlier tonight (Sat., Dec. 9, 2017) at UFC Fight Night 123 live on FOX Sports 1 from inside Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif., as he finished Filipino bantamweight prospect Carls John de Tomas via second-round D’Arce choke.
It was all Perez from the opening bell. De Tomas was lucky to escape the first round considering Perez nearly sunk in a D’Arce choke in the first few minutes of action, but he wasn’t so lucky in the second. After gaining back control early into the frame, Perez quickly shifted into position, locked up his arms, and squeezed until de Tomas was forced to tap.

With this performance, Perez locks up his first UFC victory and extends his current MMA win streak to six. The 25-year-old is super talented at this point in his career and should inject some new blood into the UFC flyweight division when he drops back down to 125 pounds in 2018.
