UFC 219: Brazilian moles infiltrate Holly Holm’s camp, feed intel to Cris Cyborg

MMA: UFC Fight Night-Cyborg vs Lansberg Jason Silva-USA TODAY Sports

It’s usually the Jackson-Winkeljohn camp who deploys spies across rival fight teams, but it appears the tables have been turned for the upcoming UFC 219 pay-per-view (PPV) event, taking place Sat. Dec. 30, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

That’s because Brazilian wrecking ball Cristiane Justino has been receiving intel from her fellow countrymen, outlining some of the training and preparations former bantamweight champion Holly Holm has completed ahead of her return to “Sin City.”

“I’ve actually had a few Brazilians who have trained in New Mexico share things with me about her training,” Justino said (via FanSided). “While I appreciate them wanting to see me succeed and continue to represent Brazil as a champion, I haven’t really let what they’ve said influence my training.”

Justino (18-1, 1 NC) captured the crown by turning away Tonya Evinger at the UFC 214 PPV back in July, her eighth straight win — and eighth straight knockout finish — since departing Strikeforce back in 2011.

Holm (11-3) surrendered her 135-pound strap to Miesha Tate in early 2016, then tried to claim gold as a featherweight. Unfortunately, “The Preacher’s Daughter” came up short against Germaine de Randamie. Whether or not this leaked info has any influence on the actual fight remains to be seen.
