Also, Francis Ngannou secured his shot at the Heavyweight title by absolutely obliterating Alistair Overeem with a vicious uppercut to end the fight early in round one (recap). Plus, Eddie Alvarez and Justin Gaethje entertained fight fans with an thrilling three-round war.
So what did White think of the event? See for yourself:
“Holloway came out, and got in his face, stayed on top of him an wore him down and ended up finishing him. He looked like an amazing champ tonight, what a performance,” said White on Fox Sports 1, who also couldn’t stop singing Francis Ngannou’s praises.
“Holy shit. The whole crowd was in shock and I thought he took his head off with that uppercut. That guy is a monster, a true heavyweight, unbelievable power and he is a scary dude. I am pretty excited about it, we had said the one that wins this fight tonight fights Stipe next,” concluded the brash head honcho.
