‘Holy sh*t! Dana White recaps wild night of fights at UFC 218 in Detroit

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White is tying a ribbon on another successful pay-per-view (PPV) event, as UFC 218 took place last night (Sat., Dec. 2, 2017) inside Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.

In the main event of the evening, Max Holloway knocked out Jose Aldo for the second time in six months by absolutely taking it to the former champion in a back-and-forth brawl (video here).

Also, Francis Ngannou secured his shot at the Heavyweight title by absolutely obliterating Alistair Overeem with a vicious uppercut to end the fight early in round one (recap). Plus, Eddie Alvarez and Justin Gaethje entertained fight fans with an thrilling three-round war.

“Holloway came out, and got in his face, stayed on top of him an wore him down and ended up finishing him. He looked like an amazing champ tonight, what a performance,” said White on Fox Sports 1, who also couldn’t stop singing Francis Ngannou’s praises.

“Holy shit. The whole crowd was in shock and I thought he took his head off with that uppercut. That guy is a monster, a true heavyweight, unbelievable power and he is a scary dude. I am pretty excited about it, we had said the one that wins this fight tonight fights Stipe next,” concluded the brash head honcho.
