Justino (18-1, 1 NC) captured the crown by turning away Tonya Evinger at the UFC 214 PPV back in July, her eighth straight win — and eighth straight knockout finish — since departing Strikeforce back in 2011. No question her first title defense against a former boxing champion could be her toughest test to date.
Holm (11-3) surrendered her 135-pound strap to Miesha Tate in early 2016, then tried to claim gold as a featherweight. Unfortunately, “The Preacher’s Daughter” came up short against Germaine de Randamie. Working in her favor is the fact that UFC does not have a ton of featherweights hanging around, so securing a title shot against “Cyborg” did not take much effort.
