Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is holding a special pre-fight press conference today in Las Vegas, right before the UFC 219 ceremonial weigh ins, to help promote next month’s blockbuster UFC 220 pay-per-view (PPV) card.
“Miocic vs. Ngannou” is exactly what it sounds like, as Stipe Miocic will defend his heavyweight strap against surging division power puncher Francis Ngannou, who punched his ticket to a championship title fight by smashing Alistair Overeem ... and just about everyone else who stood in his path.
The festivities get underway promptly at 5 p.m. ET.
In the UFC 220 co-headliner, which is also set for 25 minutes and has a much better chance of using it, reigning light heavyweight kingpin Daniel Cormier will collide with top-ranked 205-pound contender Volkan Oezdemir. All four combatants are featured in today’s press conference video embedded above.
