A battle between top contenders in the women’s flyweight division has been added to UFC on FOX 28.
Jessica Andrade is one of the most active women on the UFC roster, having gone 8-4 in the organization since arriving in 2013. Now she'll face a stiff test in Tecia Torres, who is 6-1 in the UFC with her lone career loss coming to current flyweight champ Rose Namajunas.
The news was announced via the Orlando Sentinel.
Torres' most recent win was a dominating decision of Michelle Waterson where she used her superior strength and endless cardio to bully Waterson around the cage for 15 minutes straight.
On the other side of the matchmaking equation, Andrade bounced back from a title shot loss to Joanna Jedrzejczyk in September with a decision win over Claudia Gadelha. Before that she was on a three fight streak with wins over Jessica Penne, Joanne Calderwood, and Angela Hill.
UFC on FOX 28 goes down in Orlando, Florida from the Amway Center and currently features Ben Saunders vs. Alan Jouban, Gilbert Burns vs. Oliver Aubin-Mercier, and Jake Collier vs. Marcin Prachnio.
