Big announcements could be on their way.
UFC 219 is already looking to be a pretty big event, headlined by Cris Cyborg vs. Holly Holm and Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Edson Barbosa (weight permitting). But there may be even more stars from the promotion headed to Las Vegas for a surprise media event.
According to MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani, the UFC is planning another big press conference in the style of their 'The Time Is Now' and 'Summer Kickoff' pressers.
If you’re headed to Vegas this weekend for 219, you could catch a glimpse of some of the biggest names on the roster. UFC planning one of those star-studded pressers to showcase the first quarter of 2018 on Friday.

"If you’re headed to Vegas this weekend for 219, you could catch a glimpse of some of the biggest names on the roster," Helwani wrote. "UFC planning one of those star-studded pressers to showcase the first quarter of 2018 on Friday."
Those past pressers have included such great moments as McGregor's "Who the f**k is that guy" moment with Jeremy Stephens and maybe the shark jumping "Don't you talk about my mother" brawl between Michael Chiesa and Kevin Lee. What wonders will this latest event include? Who knows, but we imagine there will be some big fights announced that fill up the first quarter of the UFC's cards.
Right now that schedule includes big fights like Stipe Miocic vs. Francis Ngannou, Daniel Cormier vs. Volkan Oezdemir, and Robert Whittaker vs. Luke Rockhold. What else could be in store? I guess we'll have to sit back and wait.
