Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is all set to pull the trigger on the UFC 219 pay-per-view (PPV) event, locked and loaded for Saturday night (Dec. 30, 2017) inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, featuring “Prelims” on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
And it’s a doozy.
UFC 219 will be headlined by the women’s featherweight title fight pitting reigning division queenpin Cris Cyborg opposite former women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm. Elsewhere on the card, Khabib Nurmagomedov aims to reclaim his spot in the 155-pound title chase against dynamic striker Edson Barboza.
That’s not all. Not by a long shot.

Round 2: Nurmagomedov continues marching forward as Barboza slings kicks. Good circling off the fence. Nurmagomedov pumping his jab, flurrying. Hard combo on the fence and he shoots a minute in. Round 3: Diakiese comes out slugging, lands some solid punches. They attack each other’s legs, Hooker tries to slow him down with a knee. Diakiese continues to find the mark with heavy punches. Just as he seems to be getting momentum, he shoots into a savage guillotine that draws a frantic tap.

115 lbs.: Cynthia Calvillo vs. Carla Esparza
Round 1: Esparza lands a right hand early. Leg kick lands. Rights from Calvillo. Well-timed takedown by Calvillo into half guard. One minute in. Two minutes in, minimal damage. Esparza regains guard. Calvillo fires elbows, but Esparza turns for an armbar. Esparza breaks her grip, but Calvillo gets her elbow out and takes side control with two minutes to go.

Glenn charges, gets knocked off-balance by a left hook. More body kicks. Glenn blocks the next one. A couple more and Glenn shoots on one, only to get swept. Jury on top in half guard, now full guard. He stands and allows Glenn to his feet. Two minutes to go.
Jury digs another body kick and a 1-2. Counter uppercut lands when Glenn tries to duck in. One minute to to. Jury pops him with another straight left. Glenn catches a body kick, gets stuffed. Jury lands a flying knee and right hand. He’s schooling Glenn in the standup so far. Glenn shoots and puts him on the fence. 10-9 Jury.
Round 2: Jury goes low-high with punches, puts Jury on the fence. Jury with a knee on the break. Nasty counter 2-3 by Jury. Glenn catches a kick, can’t chase him down. One minute in. Another body kick by Jury. Jury works his way to a body lock and looks for the back. They jockey for position two minutes in. Jury scores a takedown into mount with two minutes to go.

Round 1: Smolka moving forward early, as expected. Body shot lands for him as Nicolau wings counters. BIG counter right by Nicolau. One minute in. Nicolau slips a combo. Nicolau scores a knockdown and steps into guard, dropping shots. Now to half guard. Two minutes in. Smolka tries to stand, wrangled down. Side control for Nicolau. Scrambles continue and Cincolau lets him up. BIG 2-3 and down goes Smolka again. Nicolau locks up a head-and-arm choke with two minutes to go.
Smolka manages to survive, eats a knee on the way up. Nicolau catches a kick, can’t use it. One minute to go. Nicolau is just so much sharper on the feet. Another 2-3 has Smolka wobling. He throws back, but gets blasted by the same combo again for yet another knockdown. Smolka goes for an armbar at the bell. 10-7 Nicolau.
Round 2: Smolka’s still walking after him, bloodied. Again, 2-3 connects. One minute in. Nicolau running circles around him, jabs the body. Smolka leg kick. Both land in the pocket. Smolka leg kick. Delarosa looks for an armbar, Elliott steps over and locks up another anaconda choke. Delarosa starts turning red and is forced to tap.
