With UFC no longer an option, Floyd Mayweather challenges Kobe Bryant to a $1 million shootout

Now that Floyd Mayweather has closed the door on ever competing in mixed martial arts (MMA), the former best pound-for-pound boxer in the world has his eyes set on his next sporting challenge. And it doesn’t include getting punched in the face.

“Money” recently took to Instagram to call out one of the best basketball players in the world, as he challenged former multi-time champion, multiple-time All Star and former NBA MVP Kobe Bryant to a one-on-one game of basketball.

And he’s ready to lay down some mayor coin on it.

Slow news day.

Of course, Bryant retired from playing professionally last year after 20 incredible years in the league. And while Mayweather is no slouch on the hard wood (see it), I’m willing to bet a retired Kobe can still have his way with the pugilist.

Sorry, “Mighty Mouse.”

Nevertheless, it seems that now boxing is no longer his priority, Floyd has plenty of time on his hands and isn’t afraid to call out the best-of-the best in other sports.

Well, not quite all of them.
