Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White recently dropped a bombshell by revealing he was currently in talks with boxing megastar Floyd Mayweather to cross over to the Octagon.
And to no one’s surprise, one champion was already campaigning to be the one to welcome the pound-for-pound best boxer in the world to mixed martial arts (MMA), as UFC Flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson took to Twitter to lobby for the fight.
Check it out.

Mayweather — who insists he’s staying put — has dominated several weight classes throughout his boxing career that spanned over 20 years, but he’s never dropped below 125 pounds. That said, it only makes sense for “Mighty Mouse” to pack on the pounds.
Plus, who better to welcome “Money” into the Octagon that the most-dominant champion in the history of the promotion?
Of course, if this outlandish crossover actually goes down — and it very well could — the likely scenario would be Conor McGregor getting his rematch against Floyd in his own sport after Mayweather smashed “Notorious” in the “sweet science” earlier this year.
Still, Johnson vs Mayweather is not a bad option to have.
