Yoel Romero finally found a middleweight brave enough to fight him

I’m trying to decide which is more terrifying, watching Yoel Romero lobotomize Chris Weidman at UFC 205, or this video of the Olympic silver medalist dancing around in his speedos like Soda Popinski.

And don’t even get me started on this video.

It seems the rest of the 185-pound division shares my opinion, as the “Soldier of God” hasn’t been able to find a suitable opponent after coming up short against Robert Whittaker back in July.

Until now.

“People have reason to be feared by you my friend,” middleweight David Branch wrote on Twitter. “I want to fight the most dangerous people in the world and you’re one of them. February 24 at UFC on FOX in Orlando, I would like to do battle with you.”

Romero went full Diego Sanchez:

I’d watch.

After winning 10 straight fights on the regional circuit, Branch (21-4) was invited back to UFC, where he promptly disposed of Krzysztof Jotko at UFC 211. That earned him a main event against Luke Rockhold, which ended ... rather poorly.

No question a rebound win over a bruiser like Romero (12-2) would get him right back into title contention ... if he lives to tell the tale.
