UFC 218 odds: ‘Holloway vs Aldo 2’ prop bets, latest Vegas betting lines

Even with its original main event out of commission, UFC 218, which takes place tonight (Sat., Dec. 2, 2017) inside Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Mich., remains kind of a big deal. Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight Champion Max Holloway rematches Jose Aldo in the pay-per-view (PPV) main event, while Francis Ngannou faces Alistair Overeem to potentially determine the future of the Heavyweight division.

Thoughts: Most of these fights are potentially chaotic enough to warrant sticking to straight bets, but there are a few bargains. Tecia Torres by decision at 5:8 (-160) looks worth it — Waterson has been stopped by submission before and Torres got her first-ever finish by rear-naked choke recently, but it’s far likelier “The Tiny Tornado” just roughs her up on the feet for all 15 minutes.

Aside from that, while the fight could go in any direction, Alistair Overeem by submission at 12:1 seems lopsided considering Ngannou’s inexperience on the ground. “The Reem” can grapple when he needs to. I’m not saying to put any real money on it, but $5 for a $60 return doesn’t sound too bad.
