It was quite the Octagon debut for “Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series” standout Julian Marquez earlier tonight (Sat., Dec. 16, 2017) at UFC on FOX 26 from inside Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg, Canada, when he submitted Englishman Darren Stewart via second-round guillotine following a wild brawl.
Trying to impress in his first UFC appearance, “Cuban Missile Crisis” wasted little time in mixing it up with Stewart. The two middleweights slung heavy leather all over the cage in an early Fight of the Night candidate. In the second round, a tired “Dentist” shot in for a takedown and Marquez took full advantage by locking up a tight submission.

With this performance, Marquez enters the UFC’s middleweight pack in devastating fashion. Before the submission finish, “Cuban Missile Crisis” was willingly exchanging with Stewart from distance and in the pocket. If the bearded-Marquez can continue this trend heading into 2018 he could quickly become a fan favorite.
