It may have taken longer than expected for middleweights Alessio Di Chirico and Oluwale Bamgbose to get going earlier tonight (Sat., Dec. 16, 2017) at UFC on FOX 26 from inside Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg, Canada, but it was well worth the wait.
After catching Bamgbose in an inside clinch exchange, Di Chirico was able to land a devastating knee to the temple of “Holy War Angel.” Bamgbose instantly shut off and fell head first into the canvas. One follow-up shot was needed before referee Herb Dean jumped in for the knockout stoppage.

With this performance, Di Chirico gets back into the UFC win column after getting submitted by Eric Spicely back in January. The Italian prospect is obviously a work in progress, but more finishes like this one could land him on the doorstep of the top 15 in 2018.
