Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson has fought all across the globe, so he’s pretty qualified to pass judgment on mixed martial arts (MMA) fans around the world.
Sorry Americans, you suck.
That’s according to “Rampage,” who complains that “fair weather” American fans like to shit on fighters the second they lose, discredit their contributions to the sport, or simply start trouble with them on social media.
“I’ve fought a couple different places in the world,” Jackson told reporters on Wednesday (via MMA Fighting). “I love America, I’m American, but I have to say that American fans are the worst. I have to say it. They can get mad at me. I said it, and it’s something they can work on.”
In fairness to American fans, Jackson hates everybody.
That is likely to include former UFC title contender Chael Sonnen, who like “Rampage,” crossed over to Bellator MMA and will participate in the upcoming heavyweight tournament on Jan. 20 in Inglewood, California.
