Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently put the finishing touches on its upcoming UFC on FOX 26: "Lawler vs. Dos Anjos" mixed martial arts (MMA) extravaganza, which takes place TONIGHT (Sat., Dec. 16, 2017) inside Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
UFC on FOX 26 will be headlined by former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler, who tries to punch his way back into a division title shot at the expense of ex-lightweight kingpin Rafael dos Anjos. Elsewhere on the card, grizzled veteran Ricardo Lamas looks to quell the uprising of venerable featherweight bruiser Josh Bennett.

Hard one to the body not long after. Nasty combination upstairs. Another and Cirkunov is just chewing him up. Teixeira grabs a body lock and hits a takedown, putting in a hook two minutes in. Round 1: Blachowicz opens with leg kicks. Cross counter from Cannonier. Lead right lands, Blachowicz answers with a body kick. Cannonier digs body punches and steps into the clinch. One minute in. Cannonier with the Thai plum as Blachowicz looks for uppercuts. Knees by Cannonier, who denies a takedown before Blachowicz reverses and separates. Jabs from both men. Round 1: Leg kick from Stewart and they trade punches until he takes Marquez down into mount. Marquez scrambles up, keeping his head away from the guillotine. Stewart reverses position and they trade some insane shots inside. Stewart takes him down a minute in. Marquez gets up, dragged down. He grabs a Kimura before landing Browne elbows. Marquez stands, lands more heavy elbows. They separate. Stewart with a hard body kick and he flurries. Hard knee connects. Marquez with knees of his own and Stewart shoots again. He trips Marquez down with two minutes to go.
Marquez gives up his back on the way up and Stewart puts in the hooks. Stewart playing human backpack. Marquez lands a hard back elbow before separating. Stewart with another brief takedown and they trade hard shots. Marquez is gassing and it looks like Stewart might be spent as well with a minute to go. Stewart shoots and Marquez locks up a Kimura, ultimately taking top position. He bonks Stewart’s body until the bell. 10-9 Stewart.
Round 2: Marquez shuffling forward, hard uppercut when Stewart ducks in. Stewart changes levels again and Marquez works for a front choke. Hard knee, elbow, knee from Marquez. Stewart roars back with big right hands. Stewart with a brutal knee inside. Straight right lands clean and Marquez is retreating. They’re trading monstrous punches. Marquez with a nasty knee and he looks for a takedown of his own. Stewart grabs double underhooks, then over-under. They separate two minutes in. Back to the punches and elbows inside. Stewart shoots into another front choke and this one does it. Incredible fight.

170 lbs.: Galore Bofando vs. Chad Laprise
Round 1: Bofando with some fancy footwork early, switching stance and circling with a bevy of feints. Bofando blasts him with a three-punch combo that drops Laprise hard. Bofando pounding away as Laprise looks for a leg. Bofando elects to let him stand. Laprise gets over-unders and hits a foot sweep into side control. Two minutes in. Pressure from Laprise on top. Nice short elbows. Two minutes to go.
Hard elbows by Laprise. Bofando tries to bridge and Laprise takes mount. High mount and down come the shots. Bofando trying to bring his legs up, eating a lot of punishment. Heavy punches piling up and the ref steps in.

170 lbs.: Danny Roberts vs. Nordine Taleb
Round 1: Taleb advancing, eats a leg kick. Head kick from Roberts glances off. Taleb tries a body kick. Taleb backs him to the fence and lands a head kick that has Roberts out on his feet. Taleb charges in and blasts him with a savage right hand that knocks him cold.
Final result: Taleb def. Roberts by KO (head kick and punch)
155 lbs.: John Makdessi vs. Abel Trujillo
Round 1: Trujillo finds the mark with a left hand early. Combination met by a Makdessi jab. One minute in, Makdessi knocks him off-balance with a check hook. Double jab, then puts a finger in Trujillo’s eye. Trujillo takes some time before resuming. Makdessi fires his lead leg. Two minutes in. Stiff jab by Trujillo. Makdessi leg kick and he denies a takedown. They trade in the center, good uppercut by Makdessi. Counter jab. Two minutes to go.
Counter right drops Trujillo. Makdessi kicks at his legs until he stands. Leg kick lands for The Bull. One minute to go. Trujillo catches a low blow. Trujillo looking for tentative now, eats a spinning back kick. Trujillo body kick and overhand right. 10-9 Makdessi.
Round 2: Makdessi sending out his lead leg. He’s looking more aggressive. One minute in. Trujillo shoots, drives through the sprawl and takes Makdessi to the cage. Makdessi lands an elbow as he defends. Trujillo gets him to his rear. Two minutes in. Trujillo with a good knee as Makdessi stands. Makdessi marching after him. Check hook by Trujillo. Both throw right hands. Makdessi working his jab, lands a good body kick. Two minutes to go.

Round 2: Leg kick from Bamgbose. He’s moving a lot, but not throwing much. Now he lands a counter right inside. One minute in. Di Chirico tries to flurry. Leg kick lands. Bamgbose responds with a harder one and they trade inside. Bamgbose with about a 10-to-1 feint-to-strike ratio. Di Chirico charges back into the clinch, grabs Bamgbose in the Thai plum, and faceplants him with a knee. He is WAY out.

170 lbs.: Jordan Mein vs. Erick Silva
Round 1: Mein firing low kicks and punches early. Silva hauls him to the fence. Mein counters the shot with a hip throw into side control. Silva immediately pops up and puts him back on the cage. Mein tries an elbow on the break, lands a left hook that gets Silva’s attention a minute in. Counter overhand right from Silva; he’s landed a couple of those. Mein stalking forward. He flurries and tags Silva to the body and head. He’s throwing hard. Two minutes in. 2-3 from Silva connects and backs him off. Mein jacks his jaw with a left cross to reassert his advance. Silva leg kick. Mein catches him leaning with a flying knee and denies a takedown. Mein rips to the body and tears into Silva on the cage. Silva throwing back. Two minutes to go.
Mein with another heavy left hand against the fence. Silva looking for a one-hitter quitter. Silva shoots, gets over-unders, tries a throw but loses his grip on Mein’s arm. One minute to go. Mein with another angry combination. Body kick from Silva that Mein catches. 10-9 Mein.

Round 3: Mein catches a body kick and whacks at the remaining leg. Silva counters a leg kick with an overhand right that appears to ding Mein. Mein comes back with punches. Mein completes a single-leg and pops his head out of a guillotine a minute in. Silva tries a sweep, only for Mein to grab a bicep and thump away with the other hand.
