Just when you thought there possibly couldn’t be any more first-round submission finishes tonight (Fri., Dec. 1, 2017) at The Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale inside Monte Carlo’s Park Theater in Las Vegas, Nevada, undefeated bantamweight prospect Brett Johns goes and taps former UFC title challenger Joe Soto with an insane 30-second calf slicer.
As you could have imagined, Johns wasted no time in tying up one of Soto’s legs and transitioning to the aforementioned calf slicer. “Pikey” clearly understood the position because once he put pressure on Soto’s leg the veteran was forced to tap as he screamed in pain.

With this performance, Johns extends his perfect professional record to 15-0, as well as locking up one of the sickest submission finishes since Chan Sung Jung put Leonard Garcia in a twister. Johns is only 25 years of age and already seems like the real deal at 135 pounds. Look for the well-rounded Welshman to test the upper rungs of the bantamweight division in 2018.
