Bellator 191 fight card: UFC vets Michael McDonald, Valerie Letourneau promotional debuts set

Bellator 191: “McDonald vs. Ligier” is set to go down at Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, England, on Dec. 15, 2017, featuring two fights that will showcase former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) stars looking to make a successful promotional debuts.

Michael McDonald (17-4) was once a Top 10-ranked fighter in UFC’s Bantamweight division, but after losing three of his last five bouts, including a vicious first round knockout from John Lineker, the promotion and “Mayday” parted ways. After a layoff of more than one year, McDonald returns to the cage to face a promising young fighter named “BadAzz” Peter Ligier (8-1-1).

McDonald will be joined on this excursion by “Trouble” Valerie Letourneau (8-6), a former No. 1 contender in UFC’s women’s Strawweight division who has been waiting to debut all year long. She’ll have her chance against hard-hitting local favorite Kate Jackson (9-2-1) from Cornwall, England.
