UFC champ Conor McGregor allegedly gets into barroom brawl in Dublin, responds with ‘celebrity’ Instagram video

I guess Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Conor McGregor got tired of knocking around referees and Bellator MMA officials, and has now turned his attention to well-known Irish drug cartels.

There’s a reason they call him “Notorious.”

Police in Dublin were recently made aware of eyewitness testimony that places McGregor smack dab in the middle of a Sunday night bar fight inside The Black Forge in the capital's Crumlin suburb, according to The Daily Mail.

Here’s one of the (cough) “eyewitness accounts” floating around on social media.

"There is no report on this matter and no complaint from any injured parties, patrons of the pub or the pub itself and no statements were taken," a source told The Irish Independent.

Pretty sure the cartel isn’t going to call the cops over a bar fight (or anything else, for that matter).

McGregor had no comment on the matter, but did release a cryptic Instagram video where he looks like he’s auditioning for the role of Cobra Trooper, which I guess would mean Dana White is Destro and Ari Emanuel is Cobra Commander?

See for yourself:

The celebrity

Cooooobraaaaa!

For what it’s worth, the Irish Independent referred to the alleged brawler as a “celebrity” in its headline, which is what McGregor — no stranger to trolling — calls himself in the above video.

The fighting Irishman is already in hot water after his meltdown at the Bellator 187 event earlier this month (watch it), also in Dublin, and is not expected to make his Octagon return until 2018, depending on his negotiations with UFC.

Let’s just hope he can stay out of trouble between now and then.
