Cris “Cyborg” Justino will be facing a multiple-time boxing world champion in Holly Holm in her next fight, the likely main event of UFC 219, but the UFC women’s featherweight champion is no stranger to being in the ring with phenomenal boxers. She went toe-to-toe with two-time Olympic gold medalist Claressa Shields, and more recently brought in boxing legend Mia St. John for this technical sparring session.
Mia St. John retired in 2016, but at 50 years old she moves very well. Self-billed as “The hottest woman in boxing”, she was also a taekwondo champion and had one MMA fight in 2008, which she won by KO.
Cyborg clearly has a size advantage in the above clip, but regardless, she looks very good in the light sparring session, slipping punches and putting together solid combinations. Her upcoming opponent, Holly Holm, is known more for her head kicks in the cage than her punching power. She famously knocked out Ronda Rousey, and more recently Bethe Correira, with a well-placed shin to the cranium. The bout is scheduled to headline the big year-end card, UFC 219, on December 30th.
