Bellator 189: “Budd vs. Blencowe 2” comes to WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Okla., on Dec. 1, 2017, featuring a Spike TV-televised main event between Julia Budd (10-2) — who will make her first defense since winning the Featherweight title — against a former foe in Arlene Blencowe (10-6).

As is wont to happen to Bellator shows in 2017, a late injury has forced a change to the Spike TV’s main card. Adam Piccolotti (9-1) had been set to face “Barbaric” Derek Anderson (14-3, 1 NC), but Anderson withdrew from the show and made room for another barbarous man — “The Caveman” David Rickels (18-4, 2 NC).

The fight between Piccolotti vs. Rickels will now take place at a 160-pound Catchweight.

The irony here is that Rickels had been scheduled to fight in October against “Irish Bad Boy” Brennan Ward, but Rickels also lost his opponent due to injury, so this is something of a “make good” for Rickels, fighting in Thackerville for the very first time in 20+ fights.

Check out Bellator 189’s fight card as it now stands below:
