The finishes piled in earlier today (Sat., Nov. 25, 2017) at UFC Fight Night 122 live on Fight Pass from inside Mercedes Benz Arena in Shanghai, China, as rising Russian prospect Zabit Magomedsharipov captured his second-straight Octagon finish by submitting Sheymon Moraes via third-round anaconda choke.
Unlike Magomedsharipov’s first UFC appearance (a second-round finish), this fight went beyond the 10-minute mark. During a scramble on the ground, “ZaBeast” caught Moraes sleeping and wrapped his arms around his neck. From there, the 26-year-old Russian proceeded to squeeze and twist until Moraes tapped and forced the referee to step in.

With this performance, Magomedsharipov improves his professional record to 14-1. His late-fight efforts also earned him an extra $50,000. If “ZaBeast” can continue to turn in submission finishes like he has in his first two Octagon outings, he may quickly climb the 145-pound ladder in 2018.
