Welcome to Midnight Mania!

Ronda Rousey got on Facebook today and posted a pretty long video detailing her latest and upcoming ventures. She will soon be filming “Mile 22,” and for that role, she’s slimming down a little -- “more svelte than buff,” as she put it. She said she knows she has been quoted saying her body has a purpose, (all you do-nothing bitches) and says that sometimes, that purpose is filming a particular role.

She also repped her new line of supplements, Max Effort. The post-workout, she compared to purple drank. From what I can find, “Purple drank” is typically some mix of sprite, codeine, and a jolly rancher for color. It originated in Houston in the 1960s (go ‘Stros) but I’m not sure how that comparison is a good thing. Unless she just means grape soda.

I’m drinking actually the post-workout, grapecicle lemonade. I drink this all day long, because it tastes like purple drank. This is like healthy purple drank. I kid you not, its like f***ing angel bath water. I’m not just saying that because I’m part owner of this company, I’m saying that because it’s true, I wouldn’t say it if it wasn’t. It’s goddamn delicious.

Teaser time!!! Things teased in this video: 1. Content for upcoming RondaRousey.com, including following along with all my workouts for every purpose (yes every workout has a purpose) 2. What I'm working on for my upcoming Max Effort nutritional line! 3. How awesome Grapecicle Lemonade Post workout tastes Things you do not get from this video: 1. Any actual footage of me working out 2. Any actual experience tasting the post workout grapecicle lemonade 3. Any release from your building anticipation for the launch of RondaRousey.com and my Max Effort nutritional line To vent your frustrations i recommend retail therapy at MaxEffortMuscle.com while the Black Friday sale is still going on ;)

She went on to insist that being an honorable athlete and cautious about supplements shouldn’t be a disadvantage, and that she signs off on all the supplements in her product line.

Ben Askren should have had his chance to prove he was the best. He would still come back, but only to prove he is the best in the world. That seems unlikely.

Ben Askren’s retirement fight against Shinya Aoki went very well for him.

Drama down in Louisiana!

I wish Khabib was actually healthy long enough to fight two opponents in a row.

What? When? and how did this occur?

When in Russia...
