Mark Hunt and the UFC have not been on good terms lately following the Samoan fighter's removal from UFC Sydney. At the heart of that is the reason the UFC pulled him.
According to the UFC, they were concerned about brain trauma following an article attributed to Hunt where he admits to several symptoms of CTE including slurred speech. But as far as Mark is concerned, the move was revenge for his steroids lawsuit against the UFC and Brock Lesnar.
You'd think that would stop both parties from getting together to work things out, but in this case you'd be wrong. According to various media members, Hunt is currently in Las Vegas getting the testing done to settle the health concerns raised by his article.
Mark Hunt is in Las Vegas today. He's meeting a specialist at Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo brain center. Should have an update on his health and UFC future soon.

Per his mgmt, Mark Hunt was flown to Vegas yesterday to undergo further testing (he spoke about this offer on the show a few weeks back.) Tests done today. Results next week. They seem confident they will be cleared. Hunt is at the UFC PI (see below). H/t @bokamotoESPN https://t.co/7ORSDiBhwl

Hunt even took the time to stream a sparring session at the UFC Performance Center.

Here's hoping all the tests come back to show Hunt is still healthy and capable of competing!
