Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has lots of time on his hands, thanks to a provisional suspension from United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) in the wake of UFC 214.
So until that mess gets resolved, “Bones” will participate in mixed martial arts (MMA) as a fan, and did so during the Colby Covington vs. Fabricio Werdum boomerang fiasco, one that ended with “Vai Cavalo” getting charged with assault.
And it seems “Chaos” didn’t appreciate Jones’ take on the situation (see it):
Wow, a criminal condoning assault with a deadly weapon. Go figure. #FilthyAnimals https://t.co/xUat0Bh79o

Since Jones didn’t keep the dialogue going, Covington — who bunked with Jones during their time as junior college wrestlers at Iowa Central Community College — dug up an existing meme to poke fun of Jones’ past.
Using my name to stay relevant @JonnyBones ? Don't you have another drug test to fail or an octagon to hide under you loser? pic.twitter.com/9OhIQHGdD2

Pretty sure “Bones” doesn’t need Covington to remain relevant.
As far as his tweet, Jones was accused of hiding under the cage at Jackson-Winkeljohn when drug testers showed up unannounced a few years back (more on that here). Naturally, his coaches denied the allegations but then came a series of failed drug tests (like this one).
Now he’s sad.
At the end of the day brother, I feel sad for you. I couldn't imagine holding that type of animosity in my heart.

Your jealousy and hatred for me it's clear as day. The weird thing is, I'm not even sure what I did to you. I haven't seen you in like 11yrs

Brazil didn’t do anything to him either.
This is one beef that will never be settled inside the Octagon since Jones, aside from his suspension, competes two weight classes above Covington. And we can forget about street justice now that we know “Chaos” has the cops on speed dial.
