Welcome to Midnight Mania!
Tyron Woodley is serious about this Nate Diaz fight. He appeared on TMZ’s “The Hollywood Beatdown” to express his feelings towards Diaz, revealing that he signed the contract given him- all that remains is for Diaz to come to terms with the UFC. Woodley used the classic Diaz line, “Don’t be scared, homie” to accuse the younger Diaz brother of being... scared.

Diaz, however, is in the catbird seat, and has been ever since his two fights with Conor McGregor made him a millionaire. To get him out of retirement for any fight other than a trilogy with the Irishman, he has said he wants 20 million dollars. That isn’t a figure the UFC is likely to approach, so the negotiation still seems to face a huge gulf in differing expectations.
It is also probable the UFC used the possibility of Nate Diaz vs. Tyron Woodley as a negotiating chip to get Holly Holm vs. Cris Cyborg made; that fight is now the “likely” UFC 219 headliner. Of course, given the injury history the UFC has had, especially lately, backup is always welcome.
Then, hours later, he hit Covington with all this.
He concluded by telling Covington to tell his mom, Bones says hello.
And tell your mom I said hello, it was great getting to know her that one semester we stayed together. She's really a great human being— Jon Bones Jones (@JonnyBones) November 16, 2017
Someone suggested he hurl a boomerang at Covington, but Jones said “I’ll pass”
And have him turn around and go cry to the police, I'll pass https://t.co/ZZ75Q9RN64— Jon Bones Jones (@JonnyBones) November 16, 2017
The internet in general has been savaging Covington. Derrick Lewis posted this one:
