Bellator 187: “McKee vs. Moore” takes place TONIGHT (Fri., Nov. 10, 2017) at 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, featuring undefeated young stud A.J. McKee (9-0) wading into hostile territory to take on local fan favorite “The Pikeman” Brian Moore (10-5) — fresh off a win in his last Bellator fight — in Spike TV’s main event of the evening.
Kevin Ferguson Jr. (a.k.a. “Baby Slice”) will also be in action on tonight’s card in a Catchweight fight, while the cheers will be loud for Straight Blast Gym striker Sinead Kavanagh in her Featherweight bout with Maria Casanova on the main card.

BELLATOR 187 PLAY-BY-PLAY:
A.J. McKee vs. Brian Moore
Moore is 10-5 and he has on the green trunks and blue gloves. McKee is 9-0 and has on the dark trunks and red gloves for this fight at 145 lbs. McKee has a 5” reach advantage, 74 to 69. Moore fights out of Wexford, Ireland. McKee fights out of Long Beach, California. Our referee in charge for the main event is Leon Roberts.
Round 1: Both men touch gloves before and after the bell. McKee is unloading early with his hands and feet. Moore tries to back him up toward the fence but McKee drops him with a right at 27 seconds. McKee briefly has a guillotine but lets it go. McKee throws a kick to the body and a left hand. Moore keeps inching his way into range and lands a left. McKee makes him back up with a 1-2. 90 seconds gone. McKee lands a left that makes Moore back off. Moore clinches against the fence at 2:08. The fans in Dublin start singing for Moore. He goes for a leg trip and McKee grabs a guillotine. Moore escapes it at 2:51. McKee lets go and blasts Moore with a right. Moore lands a left on the chin and McKee shoots. Moore widens his stance. Moore elbows him in the head as he continues to go for the double and blood is spraying on Moore’s legs. Roberts is taking a look as time tickets down in R1. McKee has Moore on his knees but can’t suck the legs out. 10-9 McKee.
Round 2: Moore continues to pressure and McKee shoots for a single leg at 24 seconds but can’t get it. Moore lands a right hand as McKee continues to back up. McKee pushes forward and lands a right hand. Moore steps sideways and makes McKee circle and step back. McKee looks a little tired and Moore keeps getting into range to land strikes. McKee with a leg kick. McKee shoots again at 2:10 and is stuffed. Moore lands a left and McKee misses with a spinning backfist. Moore with another left. Moore pins him against the fence for combos at 2:39. McKee with a 1-2 combo and a spin kick. Moore pushes forward throwing rights and he looks for a takedown against the cage. McKee drops to his knees as Moore digs for a single. Moore can’t complete it and McKee pushes him into the fence to tag him then resets to the center. Moore tags McKee again. McKee with a high kick to the shoulder. Moore with some body shots. Leg kick by McKee. Right hand from Moore. Moore was the better striker and took this round 10-9.
Round 3: Both men touch gloves to start the third and final round. McKee catches Moore with a 1-2 combo 10 seconds in and Moore gives up his back 10 seconds later. McKee gets a hook in and goes for the rear naked choke. Moore goes out cold. McKee does a celebratory back flip.
Final result: A.J. McKee wins via submission at 42 seconds of the third round.
Paul Redmond vs. Sergio de Jesus Santos
Round 1: Unaired on Spike TV.
Final result: Paul Redmond wins via unanimous decision of 29-27 X3.
Charlie Ward vs. John Redmond
Ward is 3-3, Redmond is 7-12, and this is a 185 lb. fight. Blue gloves for Redmond, fighting out of Dublin, Ireland. Red gloves for Ward, also fighting out of Dublin. Our referee in charge for this contest is Marc Goddard.
Round 1: A tap of gloves kicks things off. Ward takes the center and pushes Redmond into the fence. He drives knees into the body and then hits the takedown. Redmond tries to tie up the arms and sit up against the fence. Ward puts his head on Redmond’s chin and then postures up looking to land hands to the head. Two minutes have elapsed. Redmond gets back to his feet at 2:04. Ward continues push against Redmond on the fence and they turn each other around jockeying for position. Ward is landing good knees to the body as they each struggle for dominance on the cage. Goddard encourages them to get busy and “do more” at 3:40. Ward uncorks a massive shot at the end of the round and REDMOND IS DONE. Suddenly CONOR MCGREGOR IS IN THE CAGE and officials trying to keep him away from the referee. McGregor should be happy though — his teammate was the winner of the fight. Perhaps this is why.
Final result: Charlie Ward wins via knockout at 4:59 of the first round.
Kevin Ferguson Jr. vs. Fred Freeman
Ferguson a/k/a “Baby Slice” is 1-1 and Freeman is 1-0. This bout is a catchweight of 165 lbs. — Ferguson was 165 and Freeman 160 for this fight. Freeman has solid navy trunks and blue gloves. Ferguson sports the black trunks and red gloves. Freeman fights out of St. Louis, Missouri and Ferguson fights out of Long Beach, California. Our referee is Marc Goddard.
Round 1: Freeman and Ferguson meet in the center and start to feel out the range. Freeman is a little more fleet of feet as he circles around and throws a body kick. Ferguson rushes forward looking for a leg trip, doesn’t get it, then throws him to the ground at 1:02. Ferguson takes the back when Freeman turns and quickly sinks in the rear naked choke for his first career sub.
Final result: Kevin Ferguson wins via submission (rear naked choke) at 1:47 of round one.
Sinead Kavanagh vs. Maria Casanova
Kavanagh is a Straight Blast Gym fighter with a 4-2 record wearing the gray trunks and red gloves. Her opponent Casanova is 3-5-1 and she has on the black and pink trunks with blue gloves. It’s a 140 lb. catchweight fight although Kavanagh is 143.8 and Casanova weighed 137.8. Casanova fights out of Bastia, France and Kavanagh fights out of Dublin, Ireland. Our ref is Marc Goddard.
Round 1: Kavanagh made quick work of this fight, knocking Casanova on her butt with a hard right hand at 21 seconds, getting the full mount a half minute in, and pounding on Casanova’s head with unblocked shots until Goddard stepped in for the merciful save.
Final result: Sinead Kavanagh wins by technical knockout at 0:34 in the first round.
