That escalated quickly.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight champion Michael Bisping crossed paths with welterweight striker Jorge Masvidal inside the promotion’s host hotel, where the cast and crew of Saturday night’s (Nov. 4, 2017) UFC 217 pay-per-view (PPV) event are holed up in New York City.
I’m not sure what started the shouting match, which ended with that one slur that everyone hates (and now comes with a built-in apology), but it doesn’t really matter. Two fighters, two egos, and lots of cameras means it’s time for a show.
Assuming we can get through the next two days without incident, Bisping will need to save some of that vitriol for headlining opponent Georges St-Pierre, while Masvidal will have his own set of problems against 170-pound striking wizard Stephen Thompson.
