I guess Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White is not feeling overly optimistic about the future of his former light heavyweight champion, despite this recent post from Jon Jones promising to right his wrongs and come back stronger.
In fact, White told The Jim Rome Show that Jones may be “unfixable” after his latest transgression, which could lead to a lengthy suspension from mixed martial arts (MMA), depending on the outcome of this ongoing investigation.

“I just think that Jon likes to party and he’s a guy that likes to go out and have fun and do whatever it is that he does, and I think the money and the fame made it a thousand times worse. This guy couldn’t control himself and would completely go off the deep end. Even when he would completely fuck up, he would pull himself together and come out and completely fuck up again. Even this last time when he came back, fans forgave and he was the most popular fighter and everybody wanted to see this guy succeed, and he did it again. It’s just unbelievable. Even worse than that, this guy was looking at jail time. This judge gave him another shot and this guy was looking at some serious jail time and a lot of bad stuff and that still didn’t wake him up. If that’s not a wake-up call, you’re unfixable.”
Also known as “the most wasted talent ever.”
Jones (22-1, 1 NC) flunked his UFC 214 drug test, which cost him the 205-pound strap and a knockout win over longtime rival Daniel Cormier. It was the latest setback in a career tattered by self-destructive screw ups, including but not limited to drunk driving and recreational cocaine use.
Where he goes from here remains to be seen, but White isn’t holding his breath.
