Bellator 189 ‘Budd vs Blencowe 2’ comes to WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Okla. on Dec. 1, 2017. The event finds two familiar rivals meeting for the second time with a whole lot more at stake.

The last time Julia Budd and Arlene Blencowe met at Bellator 162, a hard fought three round battle resulted in a majority decision with Budd emerging the winner. One judge saw it 29-29 while the others favored Budd 30-27 and 29-27.

Since that time Budd went on to capture the inaugural Featherweight title in a TKO win over Marloes Coenen at Bellator 174. That performance left Bellator in search of an opponent worthy to face Budd in her first title defense, and since Blencowe (10-6) gave Budd (10-2) her toughest Bellator test, she gets the call for this rematch.

At this time only one other fight for Bellator 189 has been announced. Middleweights will square off in the cage looking to become title contenders as Chris Honeycutt (10-1) takes on the unblemished Rafael Lovato Jr. (6-0).
