Carlos Condit vs. Neil Magny official for UFC 219

The ‘Natural Born Killer’ is returning after a year off to face some stiff competition.

Carlos Condit

Carlos Condit will ring in the New Year one day removed from a return to the Octagon against Neil Magny. The two will face off on December 30th in Las Vegas at UFC 219.

Condit hasn't fought since losing to Demian Maia in the first round in August of 2016. While he never made an official retirement announcement, his manager did mention that Carlos was considering quitting due to fears of brain trauma. But two weeks ago he went on social media and called on UFC matchmaker Sean Shelby to hook him up with a fight for December or January.

Shelby has obliged, setting Condit up against Magny, who is looking to bounce back from a quick submission loss at the hands of Rafael dos Anjos. Before that, he spent the better part of a year due to undisclosed injuries which interrupted a 6-2 run with wins over names like Johny Hendricks, Hector Lombard, Kelvin Gastelum, and Erick Silva.

UFC 218 is only just beginning to come together but also features a bantamweight contender's match between former champ Dominick Cruz and Jimmie Rivera. There's also rumors that Conor McGregor could make a fast turnaround and appear on the card, but we'd advise you don't make any travel plans off that info just yet.
