With the way the UFC has been booking and promoting events lately, there are PPVs and then there are big PPVs. UFC 218 is shaping up to be a big PPV. In addition to a featherweight title bout between champ Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar, Eddie Alvarez's coach Mark Henry has just confirmed that UFC 218 on December 2nd will also feature the TUF 26 coaching battle between Alvarez and Justin Gaethje.
The battle has been rumored since the middle of September but with the UFC's busy schedule there was always a chance it would be moved to another card in need. But it looks like the UFC will try to gain some positive momentum following a stacked UFC 217 card by stacking up UFC 218 as well.
How about #UFC218...

Eddie Alvarez is coming off a loss to Conor McGregor in November of 2016 that cost him the lightweight title. Justin Gaethje is hoping to continue his upward momentum after smoking Michael Johnson during a wild back and forth fight in July.
UFC 218 goes down December 2nd from Little Ceasar’s Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
