Considering Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight Kelvin Gastelum wants a stand-up war with former division champion Anderson Silva, he’s got to be pleased with this video of the 42-year-old “Spider” throwing hands.
Hands up and chin down? Pfffft ... maybe for mere mortals.
Silva (34-8, 1 NC) scored his first win in over four years by outpointing Derek Brunson at the UFC 208 pay-per-view (PPV) event back in February, which followed a dreadful 0-4 run with one no contest, thanks to a drug test suspension back in 2015.
Gastelum (13-3, 1 NC), who was originally expected to bite “The Spider” in Rio (until this), suffered his first defeat at 185 pounds when former division champion Chris Weidman forced his surrender at UFC on FOX 25 last July.
Anyone expect Gastelum to abandon his wrestling?
We’ll find out when they go to war in the headlining act of the upcoming UFC Fight Night 122 combat sports event on Sat., Nov. 25, 2017 inside Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China.
