Bigfoot Silva slams ‘dirty’ American Top Team comrade Colby Covington for disrespecting Brazil at UFC Sao Paulo

MMA: UFC Fight Night-Covington vs Kim David McIntyre-USA TODAY Sports

Prior to stepping into the Octagon to face Demian Maia in the co-main event of last night’s (Sat., Oct. 28, 2017) UFC Fight Night 119 event in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Colby Covington slammed the country of Brazil, calling it a dump, leading to the locals showering him with boos at the open workouts.

After “Chaos” soundly defeated Maia on his home turf (highlights), Colby once again opted to slam the country, this time taking aim at its citizens by calling them “filthy animals,” prompting fans to hurl bottles and trash toward Covington as he made his way backstage.

Now it seems Covington’s comments have hit home, as Antonio Silva -- who trains with Colby at American Top Team (ATT) in Florida — slammed his stablemate for dissing his country and vows to show him how to respect his people.

Check out his angry response via Instagram:

Colby you are an anti professional and dirty person, I’ll show you how to respect my country and my people.

I’d pay to be a fly on the wall the next time Covington and Silva cross paths at ATT.

Indeed, Colby seems to be following Chael Sonnen’s lead as to how to piss off an entire country, and judging by Silva’s response, it seems to be working. Anybody think Covington crossed the line last night?
