Submission! Watch Pedro Munhoz tap Rob Font last night at UFC Fight Night 119

It was quite the showing for rising bantamweight contender Pedro Munhoz last night (Sat., Oct. 28, 2017) at UFC Fight Night 119 live on FOX Sports 1 from inside Ginasio do Ibirapuera in Sao Paulo, Brazil, when the 31-year-old submission specialist put an impressive end to divisional standout Rob Font.

Munhoz didn’t have the easiest time getting his hands on Font, as he ate countless jabs and combinations that bloodied his face, but “Young Punisher” found his way when he hit Font with a hard left hand in the first. Font was hurt and Munhoz took full advantage on an ill-advised takedown attempt launched by his opponent. The ending sequence produced a beautiful one-arm guillotine choke from full mount.

With this performance, Munhoz locks down his fourth-straight win at 135 pounds, with three of those victories coming by way of submission. Even though the UFC’s bantamweight division is more bountiful than ever with contender-level talent, Munhoz is quickly beginning to stand out. Another outing like this could put him on the doorstep of challenging for a top 5 spot.
