Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will return for another event this weekend (Sat., Oct. 28, 2017) as UFC Fight Night 119 is set to pop off from inside Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The Fox Sports 1 event will feature the return of former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida, as he will be welcomed back to the Octagon by Derek Brunson in what is sure to be a hard-hitting Middleweight affair.
“The Dragon” has been riding the pine for 18 months after he was issued a lengthy suspension for failing a drug test prior to his scheduled showdown against Dan Henderson at UFC on FOX 19.
Now, Machida looks to get back on the winning track after suffering back-to-back losses in his last two fights inside the eight-walled cage against Yoel Romero and Luke Rockhold. As for Brunson, he is looking to collect his second straight win after taking out Dan Kelly earlier this year.
In the co-main event of the evening, Colby Covington looks to continue his ascension up the welterweight mountain when he faces his toughest challenge to date in Demian Maia.
