Darren Till picked up the biggest win of his mixed martial arts (MMA) career last weekend (Sat., Oct. 21, 2017) at UFC Fight Night 118, knocking out Donald Cerrone in the main event in Gdansk, Poland (see it again here). On the heels of the monumental victory, “The Gorilla” can now look forward to bigger and better match ups.
And he wasted no time in throwing out potential big name opponents, including a striking showdown against former 170-pound title contender, Stephen Thompson. It’s one he thinks would be one helluva chess game.
Just gonna put it out there, but imagine the chess game of striking me and wonderboy would have? #HighLevelStriking

Subtle, yet effective.
Of course, “Wonderboy” is currently booked to face off against Jorge Masvidal at UFC 217 on Nov. 4, 2017, in New York City. Thompson had already began his campaign for an interim title fight should he get through “Gamebred,” but the winner of Robbie Lawler and Rafael dos Anjos has already been promised next title shot against division king, Tyron Woodley.
Nevertheless, win, lose or draw against Masvidal, a showdown against Till seems inevitable for Thompson down the road. Are you digging that potential matchup?
