Former boxing champ Paulie Malignaggi continues to call out Conor McGregor in a variety of unusual ways. The two have been feuding ever since McGregor released photos and video that seemed to show him punking Malignaggi in sparring, an interpretation Paulie continues to dispute to this day. He wants his revenge (the huge paycheck that comes along with it probably doesn't hurt either), and he's willing to do whatever it takes to get it.
If that means crossing over into the UFC? Fine. Gaining experience with a CM Punk fight? Sure. And now he's responding to McGregor friend Artem Lobov's comments about moving from MMA to boxing with another offer.
“Paulie wouldn’t be a bad fight," Lobov said. "I know he’s after big paydays. He’s retired, so he might not be interested in a fight against me, but if he was I would be all for it."
I tell you what we could do just so we at least even the stakes, I fight he and Conor in the same night. I'm not even kidding either lol. https://t.co/u9IEivj1Ua

"I tell you what we could do just so we at least even the stakes," Malignaggi wrote on Twitter. "I fight he and Conor in the same night. I'm not even kidding either lol."
Of course, Paulie fighting Conor and Artem in the same night is about as realistic as an athletic commission approving Paulie vs. Artem in boxing or MMA. The Nevada Athletic Commission was willing to overlook Conor McGregor's lack of professional boxing experience due to his championship status in MMA and the truckloads of money the fight was bringing. We doubt they or any other commission would be as willing to do the same for the 13-14-1 Lobov.
Still, it sounds like Malignaggi isn't going to rest until he milks one last paycheck out of this McGregor feud. Maybe we should just buckle down and get it over with, because another year of Paulie tweeting from the sidelines sounds exhausting.
