UFC Fight Night 118 results: Next matches to make for ‘Cerrone vs. Till’ main card winners

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returned to action for UFC Fight Night 118: “Cerrone vs. Till,” which went down yesterday (Oct. 21, 2017) inside Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland.

The promotion's latest mixed martial arts (MMA) card was headlined by a Welterweight bout that saw Darren Till absolutely crush Donald Cerrone in just one round. Also, Karolina Kowalkiewicz got back on the winning track by outscoring Jodie Esquibel in the co-main event.

Winner: Darren Till

Who He Should Fight Next: Mike Perry vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio

The Welterweight division is pretty much booked up at the moment, which means Till is going to have to wait a bit to see how some matches play out to find out who his next dance partner will be. I’d like to see him take on the winner of the upcoming showdown between Mike Perry and Santiago Ponzinibbio, which is set to go down at UFC on FOX 26 on a few months. Perry and Till got into it following Darren’s win in Poland, so those two men already have some built in intensity going for them. As for Ponzinibbio, well, he is down to fight anybody, even if he’s never seen them compete.

Winner: Karolina Kowalkiewicz

Who She Should Fight Next: Jessica Andrade

Karolina’s last two losses have come against two of the three women ranked above her, including the division champion Joanna Jedrezejczyk. The third women is Jessica Andrade, the only person Karolina has yet to face. Andrade got back on the winning track herself after taking out Claudia Gadelha last month. A matchup between these two talented fighters will give more clarity to the title picture, and could be a barn-burner for the ages, too.

Who He Should Fight Next: Jarrod Cannonier

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira’s loss should be Jan’s gain. “Lil Nog” was forced out of his bout against Jarod at UFC on Fox 26 on Dec. 26, 2017 due to a potential USADA violation. And since Jan defeated Devin Clark without a long, drawn out battle, he should be good to going a couple of months. It only makes sense, don’t think about it too much, UFC, book it.

Winner: Oskar Piechota

Who He Should Fight Next: Ramazan Emeev

There’s not much tape on Oskar, but he man can bang, as he came into UFC with an undefeated mark and remained that way by taking out Jonathan Wilson in his Octagon debut. Ramazan also proved victorious in his UFC debut on the same night, and since both men are far from being ranked, let them two bang it out to see what’s what. There really isn’t much else out there for them as they are starting out in their UFC careers, so I like this bout.
