It was a very important Octagon appearance for rising UFC bantamweight contender Brian Kelleher earlier today (Sat., Oct. 21, 2017) at UFC Fight Night 118 live on Fight Pass from inside Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland, when the New York native took on Polish submission specialist Damian Stasiak.
Despite stomaching some early kicks to the body, Kelleher was able to pick Stasiak apart and shut him down in the third round. After dropping the Polish grappler with a huge left hand inside, “Boom” jumped on top and started to land heavy punches at will. Stasiak wasn’t able to ward the shots off and eventually forced the referee to jump in for the TKO stoppage.

With this performance, Kelleher jumps back into the win column after suffering a quick submission loss to Marlon Vera back in July. The 31-year-old has fought like a man on a mission since his debut in Brazil earlier this year and will look to continue his highlight reel finishes as he moves his way up the 135-pound ladder.
