Knockout! Watch Darren Till shock Donald Cerrone in the first round at UFC Fight Night 118

It was all Darren Till earlier today (Sat., Oct. 21, 2017) at UFC Fight Night 118 live on Fight Pass from inside Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland, as the 24-year-old prospect put an absolute beating on proven contender Donald Cerrone.

Till was all over “Cowboy” from the opening bell and was able to win the majority of the early battles with sheer strength, distance control, shot selection, and overall aggression. Notoriously a slow starter, Cerrone struggled to land his own offense and he really started to pay.

A two-punch combination landed by Till temporarily buckled “Cowboy” and forced him to retreat. The young Englishman wasted little time in landing a brutal elbow down the pipe and another flush combination that left Cerrone to cover up and drop to the canvas. Till threw a few extra punches before the referee jumped in for the shocking first-round TKO stoppage.

With this performance, Till launches himself to the forefront of rising contenders at 170 pounds. Cerrone may have ran his course as a welterweight, but he’s one of the toughest guys to finish in the sport today and Till made it look downright easy. Even at the young age of 24, Till is quickly becoming a European star the promotion can really sink its teeth into.
