Undefeated Bellator MMA star Michael Page made good on his professional boxing debut earlier today (Fri., Oct. 20, 2017) from inside the Indigo at the O2 club in London, England, as “MVP” finished opponent Jonathan Castano via third-round TKO.
Castano, who now holds a professional record of 2-12-1, really had nothing for the mixed martial arts (MMA) standout through the first two rounds. Page looked incredibly confident in his hands and ability to stretch the ring. When the third round began the 30-year-old turned up the heat and put Castano away with a brutal straight right hand.
The scintillating finish can be seen above.
While Castano is nobody to write home about, “MVP” looked pretty impressive in his professional boxing debut. The lengthy welterweight understands distance control and angling as much as the next guy so it will be interesting to see where his boxing career goes from here.
That said, look for Page to reenter the Bellator cage sooner rather than later, as the undefeated Englishman makes a push towards welterweight standouts like champion Rory MacDonald, former champion Douglas Lima, and knockout artist Paul Daley.
