Rafael dos Anjos responds to Kamaru Usman’s callout: Relax kid, you just got here the other day

Streaking Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight prospect, Kamaru Usman, has been perfect since capturing the glass trophy on season 21 of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF), racking up six straight wins inside the Octagon.

That includes last month’s violent finish over Sergio Moraes (watch it).

Unfortunately for “The Nigerian Nightmare” (11-1), it wasn’t enough to impress top welterweight contender and former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos, who believes Usman needs to prove himself even further before shoveling callouts like this one.

The Brazilian talks to MMA Fighting:

"I just beat the No. 6 in the division and I’m currently at No. 5, it doesn’t make any sense to fight the No. 10. Even his manager said I deserve to fight for the title, so I don’t know why he’s worried about me. I’m a former champion, I’m in the UFC for almost 10 years, and this kid just got here the other day. Relax, man, mind your own business and don’t cut the line.”

No love for Nigeria?

Dos Anjos (27-9) abandoned the 155-pound division after consecutive losses to Eddie Alvarez and Tony Ferguson, which he attributed to an unhealthy weight cut. Since his transition to 170 pounds, “RDA” scored wins over Tarec Saffiedine and Neil Magny, and expects to return in early 2018.

Usman and Dos Anjos are separated by five spots in the official rankings (read it), which may need to be abolished, according to this angry contender.

I guess we always have this fight to fall back on.
