Dana White: French accent hasn’t stopped Francis Ngannou from being a badass

MMA: UFC Fight Night-Arlovski vs Ngannou Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Don’t hit the road, Frenchy.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight contender Francis Ngannou, 31, has laid waste to the promotion’s heavyweight division, finishing all five of his opponents since making his Octagon debut in late 2015.

Sample the carnage here.

Ngannou (10-1) has been so impressive over the past two years that UFC President Dana White is already calling the Parisian the next big thing at 265 pounds, despite his gentle, soft-spoken approach to ass kicking.

“I like Francis Ngannou,” White told TSN (transcribed by Russell Ess). “I think Francis Ngannou could be the next big thing, literally and figuratively. Listen, when you’re a badass, language has nothing to do with it. It’s all about how you ... look at Anderson Silva. The list goes on and on. It’s about your performances.”

A French accent didn’t stop Belloq from being a badass.

Hopefully Ngannou’s head doesn’t explode when he collides with his toughest opponent to date, former MMA and kickboxing champion Alistair Overeem, who will try to hunt down “The Predator” at UFC 218 this December in Detroit.
