UFC Fight Night 118 results stream live: 'Cerrone vs Till' play-by-play updates

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is back on UFC Fight Pass this Saturday (Oct. 21, 2017) with the UFC Fight Night 118 mixed martial arts (MMA) event, which features a welterweight main event between Donald Cerrone and Darren Till, who battle for a spot in the 170-pound title chase.

In the UFC Fight Night 118 co-main event, held inside Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland, former women’s strawweight No. 1 contender Karolina Kowalkiewicz collides with rough-and-tumble 125-pound standout Jodie Esquibel.

Round 1: Till on the advance. Cerrone ducks a straight left and shoots, stuffed. 1-2 from Till just misses. Again. Straight left lands on Cerrone’s jaw. 1-2 connects off a Cerrone kick. One minute in. Low kick from Cerrone, who ducks an elbow and completes a takedown. Till immediately pops back up. Knee from Cerrone before Till separates. Straight left catches Cerrone leaning, then a wider left connects. Two minutes in. Two hard lefts by Till. Leg kick by Cerrone. Straight left again by Till, Cerrone falls short with punches. Counter left from Till off a Cerrone leg kick, body shot right after. Cerrone body kick. Two minutes to go.

Stiff jab from Till, then a nasty uppercut that Cerrone leans into. More big lefts landing for the Brit. Leg kicks from Cerrone. Hard right to the body. Leg kick, body kick right after. 1-2 buckles Cerrone, then a big elbow lands clean. Cerrone curls up and turtles as Till buries him in punches for the finish.

115 lbs.: Jodie Esquibel vs. Karolina Kowalkiewicz

Round 1: Hard right hand early for Kowalkiewicz. Teep by Esquibel, who eats a body kick. The height difference looks fairly significant. Both women busy, neither one lands anything big in the first minute. Counter right from Kowalkiewicz. Counter right connects, Esquibel comes back with a jab. Long right by Kowalkiewicz. She’s controlling the range. Teep by Esquibel. Kowalkiewicz backs her up to the fence. Two minutes in. Both fall short with punches. Kowalkiewicz firing right hands when Esquibel launches kicks. Good right inside from the Pole, who catches a leg kick. Right hand by Esquibel. So far, Kowalkiewicz is just outworking her and answering any time something comes her way. Two minutes to go.

Kowalkiewicz with a heavy combination. Esquibel lands a teep to the face. Overhand right, intercepting knee by Kowalkiewicz soon after. One minute to go. Kowalkiewicz putting together combinations at range. Both land rights in the last few seconds. 10-9 Kowalkiewicz.

Round 2: Kowalkiewicz’s activity winning this fight for her. Nice looping right from her as Esquibel exits. Right hand from Esquibel, Kowalkiewicz beats her up inside with knees and uppercuts. One minute in. Kowalkiewicz walking her down, outlanding her. Good right cross. Three-piece combo. Hard knees by Kowalkiewicz, battering Esquibel around the cage. Nice counter from Esquibel. Kowalkiewicz tries a head kick, eats a jab. Combination lands for her, as does a knee. Two minutes in. Kowalkiewicz with a flurry. Good body kick. Combination upstairs. 205 lbs.: Jan Blachowicz vs. Devin Clark

Round 1: Clark shoots right away, putting Blachowicz against the cage. Blachowicz reverses position. Body punches by Blachowicz a minute in. Knees to the body as well. Ref breaks them up. Clark leading with his head a bit. Two minutes in. Leg kick lands for him. Blachowicz body kick and counter left. Clark charging after him with punches. Two minutes to go.

Counter body kick by Blachowicz, then a left uppercut on the fence that has Clark clinching. Blachowicz landing knees on the cage. Elbow and right hand buzz Blachowicz, who lands a big body kick when Clark charges in. One minute to go. Straight right lands clean for Clark. Body kick by Blachowicz. 10-9 Clark, barely, on the wobble.

Round 2: Blachowicz with two hard body kicks, the second one visibly hurts Clark. Clark throws bombs back at him. One minute in. 3-2 by Clark. Clark shoots, Blachowicz counters with a takedown of his own. Half guard for the Pole. Blachowicz working to pass, fires a head kick as Clark scrambles up and winds up poking him in the eye. Clark bull-rushes directly into a no-hooks RNC right when they resume.

185 lbs.: Oskar Piechota vs. Jonathan Wilson

Round 1: Wilson fires a body kick, blocked. Leg kick. More kicks a minute in. Nothing from Piechota thus far. Wilson tries a head kick. Piechota falls short himself with a kick. Two minutes in. Piechota with a right downstairs, lands a left hook of a failed Wilson Superman punch. Wilson leg kick. Piechota gets the body lock and immediately jumps to Wilson’s back. Full body triangle with two minutes to go.

Piechota working for the choke, softening him up with punches and elbows. He gets Wilson to the mat with just under a minute to work. Piechota nearly gets the choke, loses it before the bell. 10-9 Piechota.

Round 2: Wilson fires a leg kick, slips. One minute in. Wilson still plodding after him. Leg kick. Right hand by Piechota two minutes in. Wilson head kick, Piechota straight right and left hook. Wilson throwing with him. Piechota body kick. Two minutes to go..

Wilson lands a leg kick. Right hand by Piechota. To the body this time. Right from Piechota, who catches a head kick but can’t keep him down. One minute to go. Good counter left by Wilson. Piechota with a slow wheel kick attempt. Wilson with another hard left hand, but gets dropped with an overhand right at the bell. 10-9 Piechota.

Round 3: Right hand by Piechota. 1-2 connects. One minute in. Piechota to the body, uppercut just misses. Wilson takes a glancing low blow. Piechota fires a head kick. Lead uppercut on the fence. Two minutes in. Straight right connects. Wilson is doing very, very little. Does land a counter left after Piechota lands some right hands. Piechota shoots and downs Wilson with an outside reap. Wilson tries to counter with a Kimura, but gives up mount and then the back. Two minutes to go.

Full mount for Piechota, bashing away. Wilson gives up the back. Back to mount and Piechota grabs the arm triangle. Wilson avoids it, once more surrenders the back with a minute to go. Piechota working for an armbar transition, locks up the triangle but can’t get the finish before the bell. 10-9 Piechota.

Final result: Piechota def. Wilson by unanimous decision

155 lbs.: Marcin Held vs. Nasrat Haqparast

Round 1: Haqparast slips on an early head kick. Uppercut just misses. Straight left lands clean. Haqparast tries a jumping switch kick. One minute in. Held working behind his jab. Straight lefts land for Haqparast, who eats a right hand. Haqparast to the body. Leg kick from Held, who eats a Superman punch two minutes in. Hard leg kick from Haqparast, then a counter left buzzes Held. Held shoots off a leg kick, driving hard. Haqparast defending with two minutes to go.

Held still driving while Haqparast tries a Kimura grip. Held gets him to his rear. He sets up in guard away from the cage. Elbow from Held. 10-9 Haqparast.

Round 2: Good exchanges in the center. Leg kick from Haqparast. 1-2 and out go Held’s legs. He immediately brings his guard up and Haqparast lets him up. Brief pause to let Haqparast’s corner cut a loose thread on his shorts. Haqparast stuffs a takedown and slams home left hands. Held looking a bit desperate, lands a spinning back fist. One minute in. Held tries to pull guard on the fence. Haqparast to the body, ties up on the fence. Held shoots, gets hip tossed and immediately looks for a leg. Haqparast tries to escape, only for Held to stay on his leg and take him down into side control. Haqparast regains half guard. Two minutes to go.

Haqparast attempts to scramble, winds up in guard. One minute to go. Haqparast tries to kick him off, cannot do so. Brief sweep attempt. Held with some solid elbows. Scoring of this round is going to be weird. 10-9 Haqparast on early damage.

Round 3: Held shoots right away and gets him down into guard. Held tries to open his guard with a can opener, transitions to a leglock, goes back to guard. Held falls back for the ankle lock again, still can’t get it but maintains top position. Two minutes in. Half guard. Held briefly threatening chokes. Nice pass to side control, can’t quite get mount. Haqparast tries to scramble up and Held goes for an armbar. He can’t get it and Haqparast lets him up with two minutes to go.

Hard lefts by Haqparast as he steps into the clinch and Held pulls guard. Haqparast retreats when he can. One minute to go. Haqparast sprawls on a takedown attempt, lands a big uppercut. Haqparast hops in with a knee and Held briefly threatens a guillotine. Haqparast hurling heat, stops another takedown. Haqparast left hand, Held knee. 10-9 Held.

Round 1: Stasiak opens with a hard leg kick. Counter uppercut. Right hand to end a three-piece combo. Leg kick from Kelleher. Spinning back kick appears to damage Kelleher and Stasiak blitzes with punches before transitioning to a single-leg a minute in. They separate. Stasiak spins him around with another leg kick. Keller whiffs on an uppercut and stuffs a shot. Knees to the thigh against the cage, elbow on the break. Stasiak looks for the spinning back kick again. Spinning back fist. Straight right from Stasiak met by a right hook. Two minutes to go.

Kelleher blasts him with a right hand and spins out of a takedown attempt. Stasiak mixes it up with a wheel kick and shoots into a guilotine. Kelleher adjusts the grip and rolls Stasiak over. He can’t get the choke but gets half guard. Good right hands. Stasiak with an active open guard. Kelleher stands over him and threatens a guillotine when Stasiak shoots in, regaining top position. 10-9 Stasiak for the early damage.

Round 2: Kelleher coming on strong, lands a good leg kick and hard punches. Stasiak leg kick. Body kick. Kelleher still pressing forward, eats a right hand. Good body shot but Stasiak takes him down against the cage. One minute in. Stasiak’s bleeding from his nose. Kelleher scrambles up and blasts him with an uppercut, only to eat a flush spinning back kick again. Leg kick from Kelleher two minutes in. 2-1 by Stasiak. Stasiak catches a leg kick, eats a jumping knee. Kelleher threatens the guillotine again to land a knee and snap him down. Kelleher looks for the back with two minutes to go.

They scramble up and Kelleher resumes his pursuit. Stasiak ducks a spinning back fist and ties up, eats a knee on the break. Kelleher bangs the body and drives another knee to the head. Kelleher rushes in with a low kick, Stasiak catches it and has to fight off another guillotine. Kelleher gets a hook in this time with a minute to go. Stasiak gets free, eats power punches on the break. Kelleher continues to land until the bell. 10-9 Kelleher.

Round 3: Kelleher just chasing Stasiak as “Webster” fires off the back foot. Good leg kick exchange. Stasiak shoots, can’t get it but nearly lands a head kick when Kelleher slips. They trade good punches. Counter right from Stasiak, who eats a hard knee and looks for a single-leg. Kelleher wins the scramble a minute in, ending up in half guard. Kelleher tries to pull guard on a guillotine, but Stasiak slips out and looks for the back. Kelleher gets an underhook and they separate. Right hand by Stasiak, left hook from Kelleher. Nice trip by Kelleher when Stasiak tries a takedown two minutes in. Stasiak on a knee with Kelleher behind. 2-1 by Stasiak on the break, tries the spinning back kick and lands two big punches. Kelleher buzzes him with a left hook and they trade bombs. Two minutes to go.

Check hook by Stasiak, whom Kelleher destroys with an overhand right and left hook. Stasiak desperately clamps onto a leg and Kelleher blasts him with right hands until the ref steps in.

185 lbs.: Ramazan Emeev vs. Sam Alvey

Round 1: Alves looking gigantic in there next to Emeev. Emeev fires a right hand to a bodylock, can’t quite wrench Alvey to the mat. One minute in. Elbow from Emeev on the break. Inside low kick. Emeev lands a jab, eats a knee. Two minutes in. Double right hand from the UFC debutant. Alvey leg kick, but he eats a combination. Two minutes to go.

Another quality right hand by Emeev into the clinch. Emeev goes really low for the takedown, gets it with a minute to go. Alvey scrambles up, only to get BLASTED with punches. Emeev staying patient, lands another right. 10-9 Emeev.

Round 2: Leg kick by Alvey. Emeev scores a near-takedown on the fence. Overhand right from Emeev a minute in. Ref calls for more action and Emeev lands a three-punch combo. Alvey wades in with an uppercut, does not connect. Two minutes in. Leg kicks by Alvey. Emeev flurries, shoots, stuffed. Two minutes to go.

Referee gives them a verbal warning for timidity. Emeev fires a right hand and shoots into an Alvey guillotine. Emeev staying patient, lets go of the leg. One minute to go. Leg kick exchange. Emeev tries a head kick and muscles into the clinch. 10-9 Emeev.

Round 3: Emeev goes right back to the takedown attempt on the fence. Heavy combination by Emeev, capped by a knee, before he goes back to the takedown attempt. One minute in. Solid knees from Alvey. Emeev to the body. Leg kick from Alvey. Emeev fakes a right hand for the next takedown attempt, lands an elbow on the break. Two minutes to go.

Emeev goes back to the clinch. Double right hand lands for him. Hard uppercut lands for Alvey. One minute to go. Emeev shoots, stuffed. 2-1 from Emeev, who eats an uppercut and transitions to the rear waistlock. They trade in the clinch. 10-9 Emeev.

145 lbs.: Andre Fili vs. Artem Lobov

Round 1: Fili firing kicks, trading punches with Lobov. Lobov shrugs off a low blow. Counter left by Lobov stings Fili, low kick lands for Fili. One minute in. Fili leg kick, Lobov body shot. Leg kick from Lobov, who’s sporting a cut above his left eye. Straight left from Lobov. Two minutes in. Lead right from Fili. Body kick comes back at him. They trade lefts. Fili’s moving a lot and moving well but I’m not sure he’s really outlanding Lobov that much. Stiff jab lands for him. Two minutes to go.

Body kick from Lobov and they trade punches. Another nice exchange. Fili leg kick, Lobov body kick and straight left. Body shot. Fili body kick. One minute to go. Kicks by Lobov, counters from Fili. MASSIVE head kick and down goes Lobov! Fili batters him with right hands, but Lobov survives and gets back to his feet without his legs underneath him. 10-9 Fili.

Round 2: Heavy body kick from Fili, counter left by Lobov. Lobov still marching after him and they trade leg kicks. One minute in. Jabs from Fili, leg kicks from Lobov. Left hook snaps Lobov’s head back. More leg kicks by Fili as he circles. Hard right hand. Lobov catches a body kick, clips Fili with a left hand. Two minutes in. Lobov to the body, walks into a right hand and comes back with an uppercut. 1-3 by Fili. Fili shoots, stuffed. They trade their power hands. Two minutes to go.

Lobov whiffs on a spinning back fist. Overhand right dings Fili. They trade again in the center and Fili dumps him with a blast double. Ref pauses the fight to tell Conor McGregor to sit down. One minute to go. Lobov works his way to the fence and avoids a head kick as he stands. He stuffs a shot and puts Fili on the fence. Brief takedown from Lobov. 10-9 Fili.

Round 3: Lobov still marching forward. Leg kick lands for him. Left hook by Fili. Lobov fires a naked low kick and Fili takes him down into guard. One minute in. Fili passes to half guard. Lobov turns for a heel hook, can’t get it but manages to stand. Lobov connects with a left hook and immediately gets taken back down. Two minutes in. Fili lands some ground-and-pound, gets his leg out of trouble again and takes Lobov down once again. Two minutes to go.

Half guard for Fili, who lands a knee to the body and slips out of the leglock again. Leg kick from Fili. Lobov rushes in with a knee and gets taken down yet again. One minute to go. Fili heavy on him. Lobov regains guard and pleads his case to the ref. Sharp elbow by Fili, who kicks at his legs before the bell. 10-9 Fili.

Final result: Fili def. Lobov by unanimous decision

170 lbs.: Salim Touahri vs. Warlley Alves

Round 1: Touahri hurls a left hand to start and stuffs a single-leg. Alves transitions to a double, moves to the rear waistlock. Nice high-crotch and he jumps onto Touahri’s back, only for the Pole to slip out the back door. One minute in, Alves still pressing him on the cage. Good knee to the body. They trade more knees before separating. Two minutes in. Touahri checks a leg kick. Jab to the body. Alves lands the next leg kick and ducks a left hook. Touahri to the body. Two minutes to go.

Body kick from Alves, lovely combo with a clean uppercut that dings Touahri. He scores another takedown and once more looks for the back. Touahri works his way up and slips out of Alves’ guillotine attempt. One minute to go. Touahri looks a bit winded as they separate. Touahri jabs the body. 10-9 Alves.

Round 2: Aggressive start from Alves. Touahri still firing his jab to the body. Check hook lands. Inside low kick. Alves whiffs on a counter right. Alves with a good low kick a minute in. Jabs by Alves. Hard rights from the Brazilian and they tie up. Touahri puts him on the fence. They separate two minutes in. Counters from Alves as Touahri presses in. Two minutes to go.

Alves cut over his right eye, seems a mite troubled. Spinning back kick blocked by Touahri. Jab lands in return before he blocks a head kick. One minute to go, more leg kicks by Alves. Counter right, then one on the lead before he shoots in. Alves looking to land short shots on the fence. 10-9 Alves.

Round 3: Alves going back to the kicks. Touahri jabs the body and nearly eats a head kick. Alves’ leg kicks continue to land. One minute in. Touahri steps in right as Alves fires a low kick and gets a shin flush to the nards. He takes his time to recover. Body kick exchange, Alves follows up with a harder one. Alves turning up the aggression two minutes in. Leg kick lands. Two minutes to go.

Lots of movement, not much action at the moment. Touahri with a left hook and right downstairs. Head kick from Alves with a minute to go. Alves shoots, gets Touahri to a knee. Another attempt at the bell. 10-9 Alves.

135 lbs.: Aspen Ladd vs. Lina Lansberg

Round 1: Ladd pressing forward as expected, trading punches. She puts Lansberg on the fence. Knee from Lansberg. One minute in. Lansberg tries to pull her back for a throw, can’t do it. Lansberg reverses position and lands knees. Decent shots to the legs and body. Ladd tries to circle out and eats more hard knees to the body. She’s getting some weight behind these. Two minutes in. Ladd reverses position. Lansberg still landing the better shots. Two minutes to go.

Elbow from Lansberg, moving Ladd around the fence and landing knees. One minute to go. Lansberg muscling her around with success. They separate, Lansberg puts her back on the fence and blasts her with another elbow. Ladd left hook on the break. 10-9 Lansberg.

Round 2: Ladd still advancing, firing combinations. Left hook from Lansberg, hard right hands. Ladd with a well-timed takedown, ultimately sets up in half guard. One minute in. Ladd staying heavy, trying to free her leg while landing short lefts. Full mount. Good elbows, Lansberg regains quarter guard. She manages to regain half guard two minutes in. Now Ladd postures up as she retakes mount and goes to town with punches as Lansberg rolls between back and mount. The ref stops it, to Lansberg’s displeasure.

Final result: Ladd def. Lansberg by TKO (punches)

145 lbs.: Felipe Arantes vs. Josh Emmett

Round 1: Spinning back kick and left hook land for Arantes, whom Emmett immediately drops with an overhand right. Emmett standing over him, lands a hard leg kick before waving Arantes up. One minute in. Another overhand right in the same spot and down goes Arantes once again, looking for deep half guard. Emmett lands some punches before waving Arantes up. Body language isn’t great for the Brazilian, covering up as Emmett fires combinations on the fence. 1-2 drops Arantes again and Emmett follows him down with punches. Arantes makes it to his feet, eats a huge right hand and lands a hard left hook in return. Emmett to the body, knockdown number four with two minutes to go.

Emmett dives in with a right hand, chisels away. Lets Arantes up and Arantes runs after him with knees. One minute to go. Shifting right hand by Emmett. Flying knee lands for Arantes, who shoots and pulls guard. Emmett steps over into a legleck position and Arantes goes for the heel. 10-8 Emmett; would be 10-7 if Arantes hadn’t recovered so quickly.

Round 2: Arantes sending out kicks. Emmett continues to pressure, eats a right hand and left hook. Emmett shoots, denied, walks into a right hand. One minute in. Head kick attempt. They exchange on the fence. Counter right from Emmett. Two minutes in. Leg kicks from Emmett. Arantes stabbing at him with the jab. Emmett falls short with punches, Arantes does not. Arantes looking more aggressive. Two minutes to go.

Emmett backs him to the fence, eats a knee, great exchanges. One minute to go. Emmett looks for a head kick and eats a left hook. Arantes lands a low blow, Emmett just continues. Emmett shoots with twenty seconds to go, completes the takedown into guard. Solid shots. 10-9 Arantes.

Round 3: Good right hand from Emmett knocks Arantes back, but “Sertanejo” comes out swinging in return. Wheel kicks falls short. Emmett to the body. Emmett backs him to the fence and flurries a minute in. Arantes to the body and a leg kick afterwards. 1-2 by Emmett. Arantes with a high guard, not throwing much. Two minutes in.
