Michelle Waterson is set to make her highly anticipated return to the Octagon at UFC 218 against fellow women's strawweight fighter Tecia Torres. The event goes down December 2nd from the Little Ceasars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
Waterson hasn't fought since being taken out in the first round against current #1 strawweight contender Rose Namajunas in April. Namajunas parlayed that impressive win into a title shot against current champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC 217 in November. Prior to that loss, Waterson took wins over Paige VanZant and Angela Magana in her first two UFC fights.

Tecia Torres is riding a two fight winning streak and won a performance of the night award for her dominating submission win over Juliana Lima in July. She's 9-1 in her career, with her only loss coming via decision to Rose Namajunas.
This is just the latest great fight to be added to UFC 218. The December event is being headlined by a featherweight title fight between Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar. Also on the card: Francis Ngannou vs. Alistair Overeem and TUF coaches Eddie Alvarez vs Justin Gaethje.
