A recovering Myles Jury will look to win his second-straight fight when he takes on featherweight veteran Rick Glenn at UFC 219 on Dec. 30 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, per a recent announcement by UFC officials.
Jury, 28, captured his first Octagon win since 2014 when he knocked out Mike De La Torre back at UFC 210. The former lightweight top prospect encountered a temporary speed bump after losing to Donald Cerrone and Charles Oliveira in his 145-pound debut, but “Fury” looks like he’s back on track and ready to make a push towards contention in 2018.
Glenn, also 28, is coming off a huge upset victory over highly-touted prospect Gavin Tucker at UFC 215. The wily veteran is 2-1 since making his UFC debut last year, with his lone loss coming against Evan Dunham at 155 pounds. Glenn is one of the more underrated players in the ultra-thick featherweight division, but can easily jump up the UFC rankings with a huge performance at the end of the year.
UFC 219 currently has no main event in place, but will feature a bantamweight clash between former champion Dominick Cruz and top contender Jimmie Rivera, as well as the return of former interim UFC welterweight champion Carlos Condit.
